Places to try
Wicker park thrift stores on Milwaukee Avenue: kokorokoko, round two
Pilseon and bucktown: elliots consignment
Good fashion magazines: Business of fashion, Hypebeast, harper's bazaar, vogue
Photoshoot
Do both lingerie in high end, and out-and-about photoshoots.
A selection of lingerie, shoes and jewelry in hotel space
One night in Signiel hotel, red bottom heels, lingerie. Get hair blowout beforehand
A daytime/casual outfit while out and about
Get hair blowout beforehand
Linen is good, solid cotton. Patterns are casual and daytime usually.
Use high end bag and scarf as accessory
Cocktail dress are always a good idea as well
Cocktail is good for a fancy dinner downtown. Avoid cotton or cotton mimics, choose a Dressy fabric like satin, silk. Try to avoid prints. No smocking, tiering, rickrack, or ties. Structure should be sculpted and sort of structured. Hem is from slightly above knee to maxi.
If it's something you could wear to meet a friend for lunch at a cafe, then it's too casual. If it fits in at morning farmers market, picnic lakeside, or the office, it's not cocktail. Fabric with a bit of shine or texture is one way to elevate into cocktail: satin, taffeta, charmeuse, chiffon, organza, lace, brocade, velvet in cold months.
Ways to arrange color on outfit
My skin tone is NC18 in MAC foundation, and considered warm at Sephora
At ulta I was considered neutral by two people and not olive at all
NC18 - beige with neutral undertone with light skin
Common with olive skin. So I am neutral leaning towards warm
Skin tone: warm, though can be neutral if untanned (veins are both green and blue)
I am between Soft and Deep Autumn: Medium-high contrast, Medium chroma
- All in one same color, with accessories in same color, neutral, or the complementary color (green dress + red earrings)
- Monochrome - different shades of the same color. Accessories in same color family, or complementary color
- Accenting a neutral with a color (neutral dress + green purse) or vice versa (red dress + brown boots + brown bag)... one color can be monochromatic.
- Don't do too many colors. 2 different colors at most
- Exception is if a neutral pattern is accented with a color
My colors: neutrals, then blue, red, green
Casual wear: blue, soft pink, rose gold
Summer/spring dresses: blue, neutral, rose gold, soft pink, sometimes green
My fall dresses are dark orange/red, neutral, or green.
For "work": orangish red, rose gold, warm ruddy colors. Off black perhaps
Good for evening dresses: rose gold, coral pink, burgundy are good colors for me
Try to wear warm colors for appointments. Pink, red, chestnut brown.
My current bags: light blue, ivory white, printed, dark green, beige and gray fur
Dark red/orange as a "neutral" base that I can use green accessories with
Fabrics
- Avoid acrylic or viscose, not even a hint should be in your clothes blends. Viscose is meant to mimic cashmere which is already a problematic fabric, it will just peel off more like you're shedding fur. Viscose mimics cashmere. Cashmere is problematic too.
- Polyester is the most versatile of fabrics since it can mimic anything. It's the best of all the synthetic stuff.
- Avoid tweed.
- Linen and cotton are the most breathable so they belong to summer and early fall. Cashmere wool and the rest belong in your winter wardrobe they're warm enough.
- Silk is really really pretty, stay away from it as an everyday fabric. Along with satin and worse- velvet.
- The buttons need to be reinforced. If a button is holding on to it's dear life with only one reinforced threading don't buy it. If you're buying a coat the buttons need to be big and heavy since they're carrying weight. Bone and pearl buttons are the classiest version. Metallic looking buttons, even gold (especially the huge ugly gold ones) cheapen the fabric.
- The stitches should be small and in a straight line. If they're big they'll come off easy. The inner lining of a cloth should be soft and usually polyester to make if easy on your skin and easy to slip into.
- Your clothes are supposed to mimic an hourglass and create the illusion of one. Waist smaller than both your shoulders and hips and hips wider than your shoulders. This one simple rule will save you so much.
- Rule of one- you can only show ONE part of your body with your outfit. Your chest, your abdomen or your thighs. Only one that's the law .
- Steamer is better than iron
- Only one can be fitted top or bottom. Not both (again unless youre an hourglass)
Favorite brands
Zimmerman, Camilla, Jason Wu, OSCAR DE LA RENTA, roberto cavalli
Zimmermann: I am US Size 4, or Size 0 in Zimmermann's. Size 4 is a bit tight in the waist but I can lose more weight. Shoulder fit is good, though can be slightly tailored. Size 6 is a bit too big for me in the shoulders though can be tailored and the waist is good, and the sleeves are super long for me. The Mini dress length is perfect for me as it hits the knees, and the Midi dresses at right above my feet (doesn't touch the ground). These are perfect lengths. Don't get the full sleeves, they're too long for me in the arms.
Since I am short, dress hem length at either knees, or maxi (no calf length)
Wardrobe cost: $10,000
Up to 10 dresses for the spring/summer/fall (recommend linen)
Up to 5 dresses for winter
I have 1 "business casual" dress - the gray one with coral necklace
Platform sandal
Neckline: Square, plunge, cowlneck. Good resource to check
- Bag: $2160 ($3400 but $1240 off though)
- Scarf: $360 - only wear in public, never in private as I might get choked
- Camel or beige colored coat/cape - already have an Alo but if I want something dressier, budget of $300
- Chestnut work bag and boots : I already have this but save up for genuine leather. Valentino Chestnut boots?
- (goes with camel/beige coat or dark red outfit)
- Navy boots/shoes
- Cocktail dress - budget of $500
- (mute orangish red, not BRIGHT red can be appealing. Like my lipstick shade)
- Or could be an off-black that is glittery
- Costume jewelry necklace
- Cocktail evening bag - dont do black, do gold metallic, or dark chestnut clutch at most. Budget $1000
- Casual linen or cotton dresses up to 3 - budget of $500 for linen each, budget of $300 for cottons
- Casual dress bags: kate spades, Ferragamo
- Spring/summer bags, fall/winter bags
- A blazer: either a Dior bar jacket (recommended by Maria) or Balmain blazer (recommended by Maria)
- get it in navy blue, or dusty pink - budget $500
Recommended by Maria: Lily Pulitzer, Dolce/Gabanna, Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta, Dior, Zimmermann
According to Maria, good patterns are made by: Dolce/Gabanna, Roberto Cavalli, Versace, Valentino, and Italian patterns and Italian fabric in general. If you do florals, do Italian florals.
Watch: Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 (Ref. 77410OR.OO.A825CR.01) $35k
Inspo: Melania Trump, Princess Catherine, Amal Clooney
In public, nice costume jewelry only. Wear expensive and real jewelry only in private events to avoid being targeted by thieves
Don't try too hard to dress stereotypically elegant, looks like overcompensating. Its ok to be a little playful, flirty, or juvenile. Relax. Be your authentic self without being completely trashy.

My feet
Mountain foot type
Heel to toe 24-24.5 cm (9.5 inch), width 10.5 cm (4.13inch) women's
Shoe colors: soft warm black, chestnut brown, periwinkle blue, dusty pink, nude/beige
In Jimmy Choo's, I am a 37
Xero shoes: size 7 fits fine without socks but gets annoying after a while with socks, and I can wear size 8 comfortably though the tip has some room and it slips a little bit at the heel. Size 7.5 is probably ideal for me for sporty shoes to wear with socks. Some shoes are looser than others.
Makeup
Use brown eyeliner instead of black, its less harsh on you
Lash lift instead of lash extensions
Use an angled brush to apply lipstick
1. Invest in premium advertising. If you are online, you should be EVERYWHERE clients are. Don't ask (is it worth it?) if you have never tried it. Find out for yourself. You are a unique brand. Get on Tw*tter, Tr*st, Sl*xa, Er*s, etc. Determine which sites are best for your city and use them all. If you don't want to invest in premium adspace, you are not maximizing. There are hundreds of girls to choose from, why on earth would you not want to be the first who will show up?
2. Keep your online presence clean. Keep the fantasy alive. There is no reason to argue with colleagues. If you don't like someone mute or block them and keep it moving. You are here for CLIENTS. Unless you have duo partners, or a working relationship with someone what's the point? Your goal is to make money & if you happen to make a friend along the way, fabulous.
3. Professional photos & websites are a must as soon as you can afford them. It's an investment. A mix of candid photos and professional are great for social media. It makes you seem real and relatable.
4. Create an aura around yourself of a woman who is alluring, sexy & booked. Do not ever complain about it being “slow” on socials. You should always, always make sure clients believe you are busy. They only want to see who other men are seeing. Imagine if a hair salon is complaining they have no clients, maybe you would see them out of pity but it wouldn't be your first thought to do so.
5. Make it easy to book you. Men should have no hesitation when they book you. Have a clean, user-friendly website. No crazy fonts or music that auto-plays. Have 10-12 great photos where you look incredibly sexy.
6. Streamline communications. I would recommend an auto-reply texting service on your burner phone and use your notes app to copy/paste canned responses. I prefer texting anyway, emails are overwhelming. I use both & they work well.
7. Reviews. *sigh* This is a hotly contested topic, I can say when my rates were much lower I had clients who offered to write me reviews. They were helpful to my business and I was able to review the majority of my reviews before they posted (the client sent me a screenshot). GOOD reviews are great for business, they give men security and confidence that you're real. Let's face it, women are far more advanced. Not all of your clients will be the type to check out your reviews but it gives you the opportunity to build a great reputation. I would recommend doing this before nay rate increases as the hobbyist types have a range up to +$800 per hour. Maximize this while you can if your goal is to brand as “high end”. You can still use high end branding tactics with a lower rate, its actually an amazing strategy. Expensive to begin with but well worth it.
8. Volume. You can be busy at any rate. I was busy at $500, $600, $700, $800, $1000+ per hour. Release that limiting belief. It's silly. You can see as many men as you want to see. If this statement doesn't sit well with you, or you feel an objection, change your belief about yourself. Simple.
9. Get into therapy. Enough said. Client facing social media is not a diary.
10. Play up your best features. Wear clothes that hide your flaws and accentuate the best assets you have.
11. Hygiene. Wear makeup to every fucking booking. Style your hair. Use boric acid suppositories at least once a month (esp after period). Condoms & lubricant affect the PH balance of your vagina so you'll need the extra care if you're really busy. Invest in quality body wash, I love Molton Brown. Get lightly scented hair perfumes so you smell nice but not overwhelming. BODY LOTION. BODY OIL. Clients always comment on how smooth & soft my skin is. I exfoliate my entire body regularly. African net cloths are gold.
12. High quality lingerie is necessary. Mix and match with lower end pieces until you can grow your collection. Clients are always willing to buy lingerie so utilize them to build your business. Heels. Heels. Heels. Some clients like stockings and have fetishes (and will pay a LOT of money for it). Invest in your wardrobe.
13. Set income goals in a spreadsheet on a week by week basis. This helps your subconscious mind to get as close to that goal as possible. Keep notes on all of your clients. This helps with retention as they believe they are special to you. Retention is KEY. New clients are great and you advertise to keep your funnel full, retaining clients is amazing. You will rarely have to replace a client unless your rates increase dramatically.
14. 50-60% of what you earn should go back into your business until you reach a surplus or income goal (my first savings goal was 100K and I reached that in four months). This fast-tracks your success. You don't have to grow slowly, you can grow exponentially. If this feels like a lot of work, IT IS. This is a business.
15. Stay positive. Read books that inspire you. Watch YouTube videos about business. Write down your goals and know the minute you write them down, they are yours. If someone has what you want, celebrate them sincerely (you can do this privately of course, no need to DM). This increases your frequency. Jealousy, envy & hate are the lowest frequencies. If you gossip about others, talk crap on the regular, engage in hateful rhetoric you will never succeed. Its the law of the universe. You will always hit a ceiling, a snag or have some-problem in your life. Why? Because what you wish for others you create for yourself in your life and experience.
